United Planning Organization (UPO) is a DC-based nonprofit human services organization established in 1964. It operates as Washington, DC’s Community Action Agency, delivering more than 30 programs aimed at helping low-income residents achieve economic security by connecting them with opportunities such as skills training for high-demand careers, job placement, affordable housing initiatives in partnership with developers, and support through DC’s Financial Empowerment Center.
