The Royal College of Psychiatrists, based in London, is the professional and educational body for psychiatrists in the United Kingdom. It seeks to advance understanding of psychiatry and mental health, including how mental and physical health interact and how social and cultural contexts shape care. It leads in setting and achieving high standards through education, training, and research, and it promotes best practice in mental health services while publishing results in world-class psychiatric journals.
