Founded in 1977 by Margot Clark, a social worker with the Visiting Nurse Association, the organization began by delivering meals to patients in Lake County. It now serves more than 2,000 meals each day across six counties and also prepares meals for LaPorte County. In November 2023, it formed a partnership with Home Instead Senior Care to collect and distribute presents.
