Meals on Wheels of Northwest Indiana is a nonprofit organization that delivers meals prepared by chefs and approved by dietitians to people in their homes. Enrollment is open to anyone aged three and older who lives in Lake, Porter, Jasper, Newton, Starke, or Pulaski counties, with the aim of supporting nutrition for those who cannot regularly cook or shop for themselves. Based in Merrillville, Indiana, the organization operates as a home-delivery meal service serving the Northwest Indiana area. Founded in 1977 by Margot Clark, a social worker with the Visiting Nurse Association, the organization began by delivering meals to patients in Lake County. It now serves more than 2,000 meals each day across six counties and also prepares meals for LaPorte County. In November 2023, it formed a partnership with Home Instead Senior Care to collect and distribute presents.
