The Cystinosis Research Network is a small, all-volunteer nonprofit based in Lake Forest, Illinois, focused on advancing cystinosis research and supporting affected families. It supports and advocates for research into cystinosis, provides assistance to families dealing with the condition, and educates both the public and medical communities about the disease. The organization aims to improve treatments and, ultimately, to achieve a cure for cystinosis, a rare autosomal recessive genetic disorder. Operating within the nonprofit sector, CRN engages with patients, families, clinicians, and researchers to address knowledge and care gaps. In March 2021, Tim Wyman was named interim President.
