Youth Guidance is a nonprofit organization that designs and runs school-based programs to help children overcome obstacles, stay focused on their education, and achieve long-term success in school and life. Its offerings span counseling and prevention, community and after-school initiatives, and career readiness supports, with programs designed to build self-efficacy, anger management, and positive values. The organization directly serves more than 15,000 youth, with over 95% of participants identifying as African American or Hispanic/Latino, and it engages parents, teachers, and other community members in its work. Based in Chicago, Illinois, Youth Guidance operates in the nonprofit education and youth services field and holds accreditation from the Council on Accreditation (COA). A recent collaboration with Earth’s Remedies to host a Winter Wonderland event for West Side youth demonstrates continued community partnerships.
