Willie Mae's Scotch House is a small restaurant operation based in New Orleans, Louisiana. It began in 1957 as a bar in the Historic Treme neighborhood and was later moved to its current Street Ann Street location, where the front area once housed a barbershop and beauty salon. After the beauty salon closed in the early 1970s, the demand for meals from its bar customers led the business to evolve into a dedicated restaurant serving Mississippi- and Louisiana-inspired cuisine. In 2005, Ms. Willie Mae Seaton received the James Beard Award for America's Classic Restaurant in the Southern Region. In 2026, Willie Mae's Scotch House formed a partnership with Hard Hide Whiskeys to launch the Hardhide Chilton County Peach Glaze Wings. Earlier, the restaurant earned national recognition for its fried chicken, including being named best fried chicken in America in 2023.
