About Wichita Falls Independent School District (WFISD) Wichita Falls Independent School District proudly serves the vibrant North Texas community of Wichita Falls, providing high-quality education to approximately 12,600 students. In 2024, WFISD opened two state-of-the-art high schools, featuring innovative learning environments tailored to the needs of today’s students, along with cutting-edge facilities for fine arts and athletics.
