Weave Social Finance provides consulting and fund management services for social enterprises and businesses based in low income communities.  Weave specializes in facilitating funding through the New Markets Tax Credit program for businesses that will create quality jobs and/or provide needed products and services in low income communities.  Weave’s primary focus for the NMTC program is on helping to raise capital for “triple-bottom-line” businesses in rural communities in under-served states.
 
In 2019, Weave facilitated a $12 million Federal NMTC and $9.9 million Kentucky State NMTC transaction supporting the first full scale manufacturing plant for Danimer Scientific in Winchester, KY.  The company’s bioplastics replace petroleum based plastics for use in the creation of biodegradable straws and food packaging.

In late 2019, Weave facilitated a $8.5 million Federal NMTC transaction supporting the improvements to the main campus and expansion of Laradon Hall Society’s program space for developmentally disabled students and adults.

In early 2018, Weave facilitated a $14 million NMTC transaction supporting the construction of the first manufacturing for Pursell Agritech in rural Sylacauga, Alabama. The company has developed innovative environmentally friendly controlled release fertilizer technologies and micronutrient delivery systems.

In early 2015, Weave facilitated a $12 million New Markets Tax Credit transaction to support the construction of the Goodwill Opportunity Center in Charlotte, NC.  The Center will provide a medical clinic, credit union, job training, and other social services under one roof for Goodwill’s clients.  The facility will also house Goodwill’s administrative offices, a large warehouse, and an outlet store.  www.goodwillsp.org

In 2017, Weave helped facilitate Rocky Mount Downtown Community Facility in Rocky Mount, NC in partnership with the municipality. It is a mixed-use community facility including a health clinic.
