The school emphasizes a challenging curriculum built around a strong teacher–student relationship and collaborative learning, with a focus on developing critical and creative thinking and problem-solving abilities in teenagers through discussion and dialogue. As a community of learners, WHS aims to create an environment where students feel known and valued while engaging them in intellectual growth within the Waldorf-inspired educational approach.

The school serves students within the Massachusetts Bay area, positioning itself within the private/independent school segment of the education industry.
