Venture For America is a national nonprofit that runs a two-year fellowship designed to immerse recent college graduates in startup environments and develop leadership capabilities. Fellows participate in a Training Camp to gain essential startup skills, then pursue roles within the organization’s network and work full-time as salaried employees in one of thirteen host cities. When fellows are ready to launch their own company, VFA offers resources such as a crowdfunding competition and an accelerator to support that effort. VFA’s mission focuses on creating an accessible and inclusive future of entrepreneurship in America. The organization is based in Detroit, Michigan, and operates nationwide through its fellowship program and network. In 2023, VFA announced the appointment of Corey Patrick as director for its Cleveland operations.
