UW-Milwaukee at Waukesha operates as a campus within the University of Wisconsin System, serving the city of Waukesha, Wisconsin. It emphasizes a personalized learning approach and affordable tuition as students pursue an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree, with the option to begin a bachelor’s degree at UWM or another UW System campus. The campus also includes a notable share of nontraditional students who are expanding their skill sets or exploring new interests within a small, community-focused environment. 

Programs span more than 30 subject areas across arts, humanities, social sciences, mathematics, natural sciences and business, with courses offered in both in-person and online formats to fit varied schedules. Created in 2018 through the UW System’s reorganization that merged UW-Waukesha with UWM, the campus balances the advantages of a large research university with a home campus that maintains a welcoming, small-community feel. In May 2026, CampusESP, Inc. formed a partnership with the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee to collaborate on student-support initiatives.
