Universidad del Salvador (USAL) is a higher education institution based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Founded on May 2, 1956 by the Society of Jesus, it continues a longstanding Jesuit academic tradition dating back to the country’s first university in 1622. Its mission centers on providing integral formation across scientific, humanistic, and Christian dimensions while pursuing research that seeks to harmonize scientific inquiry with faith. The institution emphasizes universalism through differences, seeking to understand and respect diverse histories, cultures, and psychological perspectives. Its facilities include a 75,000-square-meter main campus in the city of Buenos Aires and satellite campuses—the Pilar site in Pilar, Buenos Aires Province (about 100 hectares) and the San Roque González de Santa Cruz campus in Gobernador Virasoro, Corrientes Province (about 112 hectares). In September 2022, the university launched Minerva Lab, a virtual reality facility focused on health sciences to expand student development.
