The UC Irvine Henry Samueli School of Engineering is a public research engineering college within the University of California, Irvine, located in Irvine, California. It comprises six departments: biomedical engineering; chemical and biomolecular engineering; civil and environmental engineering; electrical engineering and computer science; materials science and engineering; and mechanical and aerospace engineering. It is led by Dean Magnus Egerstedt and pursues research that is timely and socially relevant, collaborating with industry and government agencies to translate findings into practical applications that benefit society. Its research priorities include Communications and Information Technology, Energy and Sustainability, Human Health, and Advanced Manufacturing and Materials.
