Troutlodge operates as the trout production arm of Hendrix Genetics, focusing on genetics and the supply of eyed rainbow trout eggs. It is described as a leading entity in trout genetics and a major supplier, producing, selling, and shipping nearly 500 million eggs annually to more than 60 countries from facilities in Washington, Idaho, and the Isle of Man.
