Traveling Vineyard operates a direct selling model in the beverage industry, organizing in-home wine tastings conducted by independent Wine Guides who present the company’s exclusive wines. At these relaxed events, guests sample wines before purchasing, with tastings held in a social setting. Guides have autonomy over their schedules, income, and work environment, and the company supports them with training, mentorship, and online resources. The in-home tasting concept began in 2001 and has grown through a flexible, home-based business model and team-wide friendships, with the company based in Ipswich, Massachusetts.
