We are business leaders and tourism experts working together to make our city shine.

We are a team of enthusiastic tourism professionals who love our city and strive to make every visitor’s experience amazing. We work together with local businesses, tourism service providers, and the City of Richmond to showcase all the exciting things happening here, while providing information and guidance on planning unforgettable trips to Richmond.

Tourism Richmond is a non-profit, stakeholder-driven destination marketing organization (DMO) promoting Richmond as a destination to leisure travellers, meeting planners, travel media, and organizations that influence travel. We also work closely with travel and tourism industry stakeholders and municipal officials to enhance and develop new, can’t-miss experiences.

Our primary mandate is to enhance awareness of our destination through sales and marketing initiatives and by providing excellent visitor and stakeholder services. Our ultimate goal is to increase tourism-related economic activity for our city and stakeholders.

Tourism Richmond is majority funded through the proceeds of municipal regional district tax legislation (MRDT– a three-per cent tax applied to sales of short-term accommodation) through the province of BC. We are governed by a Board of 12 Directors from the accommodation sector, tourism non-accommodation sector, and senior City of Richmond employees.
