In December 2014, co-founders Corinne and Maria had a conversation about the life opportunities they had experienced because of mentors and a support system that believed in them every step of their journey.

They became motivated by a simple question: “But what are we doing to help?”

In 2015, that conversation turned into The Winning Edge Leadership Academy.  The mission of The Winning Edge Leadership Academy is to increase diversity in sports business through mentoring, a network of influence, and additional resources for women and minorities who have a desire to work in sports.
Our programming includes:
+ A mentoring program for students and industry professionals
+ Enrichment trips where students are exposed to a variety of professions in sports business
+ Experience trips where students gain work experience at a variety of sporting events
+ WE huddles where we provide career preparation skills such as resume building and public speaking
+ WE Pep Talks which are live conversations held on Facebook by industry professionals for students to gain insight
+ A multi-day, professional development experience for current and former student-athlete who want to work in sport business.
