The San Diego Regional Center is a health and human services organization based in San Diego, California, forming part of California's statewide network of Regional Centers serving people with developmental disabilities. The centers were established by the Lanterman Act, which created the system in 1965 and became effective in 1969 to support individuals with intellectual disabilities, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, autism, and similar conditions. The San Diego Regional Center was the third Regional Center established in California and currently serves over 40,000 people across San Diego and Imperial Counties. 

The center's primary function is to coordinate and provide services and supports for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families within its region. It operates within the health and human services field and serves a sizable regional population through a network designed to connect clients with needed programs. In May 2026, Educationbx announced a partnership with SDRC as an approved ABA therapy provider, reflecting ongoing collaboration to expand service options in the region.
