The Institute for Advanced Learning and Research (IALR) is a higher education organization that acts as a regional catalyst for economic transformation through applied research, advanced learning experiences, and conference-based economic development. It emphasizes moving research toward commercialization, providing education that combines instruction with hands-on experience, and leveraging its conference center and a partnership with the Southern Virginia Regional Alliance to support regional growth.
