The Field is a New York–based organization in the performing arts focused on helping artists achieve prosperity across artistic and personal dimensions. It builds a community that connects and elevates creative practitioners across disciplines, including writers, dancers, filmmakers, musicians, and actors. Founded by artists for artists, the organization provides fiscal sponsorship and fundraising support to thousands of independent artists and small arts organizations nationwide to help bring projects to life, supported by hands-on fundraising, capacity-building, and skill-building workshops. The Field serves a broad spectrum of creatives, with a nationwide reach anchored in New York. A notable milestone in its recent history is being named a finalist in the American Bookfest Book Awards Science Fiction category in 2019.
