The studio has hosted landmark productions such as Gone with the Wind, Citizen Kane, and E.T. It is a mid-sized player within its industry, and since 2014 it has been undergoing modernization under Hackman Capital Partners, with Phase 2 of an Innovation Plan to expand and modernize the lot while preserving its historic structures. The transformation is described as creating a next-generation campus for Amazon Studios and its related content affiliates.
