The Children's Shelter is a privately run, nationally accredited nonprofit based in San Antonio, Texas, with a long history of serving child survivors of abuse and neglect since 1901. It provides a continuum of trauma-informed care through a family of services, including emergency shelter and residential treatment for children in crisis, foster care and adoption, family-strengthening programs, and an outpatient mental health clinic offering trauma-sensitive therapy.
