Thakeham is a placemaking‑oriented housebuilder based in Billingshurst, West Sussex, operating across the south of England. The company emphasizes shaping not only individual homes but the streets, spaces and wider communities around them to create places that feel considered and built to last. Its projects range from village‑inspired neighbourhoods to larger mixed‑use developments, integrating design, delivery and long‑term thinking to foster sustainable communities. Recent activity includes partnerships to advance net‑zero living, such as Templegate in Burgess Hill developed with Aster Group and featuring zero‑bills homes with Octopus Energy. The firm also received industry recognition for its Woodgate development in Pease Pottage, which earned Best Housing Scheme (500+ homes) and an Editor's Choice Award at the 2025 Planning Awards. It has pursued future residential opportunities through planning consultations, including an in‑principle review for three parcels at Allington Lane.
