The Texas Animal Health Commission (TAHC) is a state veterinary services agency tasked with safeguarding the health and marketability of Texas livestock, poultry, and exotic animals. It has statutory authority to regulate the prevention, control, and eradication of specific contagious or infectious diseases in livestock and poultry, and to work against foreign and emerging disease threats that could impact the industry.
