TAWAL is a telecommunications infrastructure company based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It originated from Saudi Telecom Company's carve-out of its towers in 2018 and was launched on April 1, 2019 after obtaining a license from CITC, positioning itself as the region's first and largest dedicated telecom tower company. The company owns and manages more than 15,000 passive telecom towers across the Kingdom and leases space to service providers, government entities, and other telecom businesses. Its mandate focuses on infrastructure sharing to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and lessen environmental impact, through designing, building, and managing consolidated telecom facilities that support modular connectivity. It employs between 501 and 1000 people and, looking ahead, plans geographic expansion and additional services, including a focus on technologies such as small cells, IBS, and fiber; in February 2025, the Public Investment Fund finalized its acquisition of TAWAL, transferring ownership from STC to a new entity.
