Tata Steel Long Products (TSLP) is in the business of manufacturing high-alloy, value-added steel for diverse industrial use, including automotive, construction and infrastructure, general engineering, railways and agriculture segments.  With an annual capacity of one million tonne, TSLP is one of the largest specialty steel manufacturers in the Special Bar Quality segment and among India’s largest merchant sponge iron producers.  The company also has a capacity of 1 MTPA of sponge iron and 160 MW of power generation. 

Besides marking notable operational improvements like highest yield in SMS, crude steel and pellet production, TSLP has earned several customer laurels through consistent supply with zero defect,  recording 85% best in class customer rating, achieving all time low internal rejection and lowest ever customer complaints till date.  

To build capacity and synergize with Tata Steel, TSLP has acquired Neelachal Ispat Nigam Ltd (NINL) which provides the company an additional steelmaking capacity of 1.1 million tonnes per annum of long-steel, 100 million tonnes of iron ore reserves and 2,500 acres of land.
