Based in King, North Carolina, Sustainability Ambassadors operates in the environmental services sector with a small to mid-sized team focused on accelerating a sustainable future. It coordinates and supports three interconnected groups: youth, teachers, and community stakeholders through a year-round program structure. The Youth Leadership Development Program trains students in the IP3 approach, covering impact project design, data tracking, and storytelling, while trained Ambassadors lead peer trainings and aggregate impact reporting to parents and policymakers. The organization also maintains partnerships with college internship programs at the University of Washington, Western Washington University, Seattle University, and Cascadia College to expand opportunities in Green Jobs Youth Pathways.

Its Teacher Fellows Program helps teacher leaders develop problem-based, place-based learning that meets standards and advances city climate action, climate justice, and workforce development goals, with pedagogical practices grounded in Educating for Sustainability. Ambassadors operate across generations, jurisdictions, and sectors to advocate for sustainability policies and their practical implementation, including participation in the City/Classroom Climate Action Plan Coalition.
