St. Louis Center is a caring residential community formed by compassion and the understanding that all people are equal in dignity, regardless of ability. The doors of St. Louis Center have been open since 1960. The Center is located on an undulating 180 beautiful acres along Old U.S. 12 in Chelsea, Michigan. St. Louis Center is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and has a robust history of continuously improving its services and programs. 

At St. Louis Center, we share many of life’s milestones including celebrations, prayers, work, play, and meals as do families. This family atmosphere that we provide fosters security, independence, and healthy development.

St. Louis Center's latest, game changing endeavor is the St. Louis Guanella Village. The Project is comprised of a series of renovation and new construction projects, including single family homes, as well as the development of new enrichment programs.  New housing built in the Village will guarantee the provision of the full continuum of care for aging people with I/DD and will provide housing and care opportunities for them and their families.
