The Springfield Symphony Orchestra is a professional ensemble based in Springfield, Massachusetts, serving the Pioneer Valley region and the largest professional orchestra in Massachusetts outside Boston. Each season it performs eight professional concerts at Springfield Symphony Hall, including six Classical programs and two Pops concerts, along with Youth Orchestra performances and a range of musical and educational initiatives. The organization aims to maintain and develop a high-quality symphony, entertain and educate audiences, broaden its reach, and sponsor related programs that enrich the region’s musical life. It positions itself as a partner in Springfield’s cultural and economic development, supporting the downtown arts scene and broader revitalization of the city. In 2026, the Springfield Symphony Orchestra announced a collaboration with White Lion Brewing Company to launch Music on the Menu, a community event series blending live music with local culture and supporting youth music scholarships.
