SportsAid is a UK charity operating in the spectator sports sector, providing financial grants to support the training and competition costs of young British athletes. Each year it supports more than 1,000 competitors, most of them aged 12 to 18, with typical awards around £1,000 funded through commercial partnerships, trusts, charitable funds, and fundraising. Athletes are nominated by national governing bodies across more than 60 sports, creating a direct line from governing bodies to promising talent who often rely on family funding.
