South Central Los Angeles Regional Center for Persons with Developmental Disabilities, Inc. (SCLARC) is a private, non-profit, community-based organization that coordinates services for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families under contract with the California Department of Developmental Services. The regional center system was created by the Lanterman Developmental Services Act in 1966 to empower local agencies to serve people with intellectual disabilities, cerebral palsy, autism, and epilepsy through intake, assessment, diagnosis, and lifelong service coordination.
