Sister City is a boutique hotel in the Lower East Side of New York City. The concept centers on essentialism, delivering a space that blends practical comfort with purposeful design to help guests connect with the city. The property includes 200 intimate, efficient rooms, a ground-floor restaurant called Floret led by chef Joe Ogrondek, and a rooftop bar.

The project was developed by the team behind Ace Hotel and draws inspiration from Finnish saunas, Japanese bento boxes, prehistoric cliff dwellings, and John Cage’s 4 minutes and 33 seconds. Open, inclusive, and timeless, it positions itself as a straightforward entry point to experience New York City and a sanctuary to return to at the end of the day, supported by a small team.
