Located in Chatsworth, California, Sherman Grinberg Film Library maintains a substantial private film archive. It is described as the world’s oldest and largest privately held film archive, encompassing more than 50 moving image libraries and more than 20 million feet of 35 mm film. The collection spans material produced from 1895 through 1957 and includes notable Paramount newsreels such as Eyes of the World (1927–1929, silent) and Eyes and Ears of the World (1930–1957, sound). The archive also contains the full American Pathe newsreel library, dating from 1895 to 1956. A small subset of the collection is available for viewing through Getty Images.
