Seattle Tacoma Box Company is a mid-sized, family-managed packaging and containers manufacturer based in Kent, Washington. Its origins trace back to 1889, when Jacob Nist founded the company that would become Queen City Manufacturing Company, with a Tacoma sister plant added in 1924. The two facilities merged on July 7, 1975, and production moved to Kent, where the operation continues today. Six generations of the Nist family have led the business, which also runs SeaCa Packaging, a daughter company with roots in Central California. The firm designs and manufactures products for agricultural, industrial, and seafood markets, offering options across wood, plastics, corrugated materials, high-graphics packaging, point-of-purchase materials, and inventory services such as just-in-time programs. It emphasizes reliable service and cost efficiency to support customers in differentiating themselves in the market.
