Save Venice, Inc. is a national nonprofit organization based in New York City that focuses on preserving Venice’s artistic heritage. Since its founding in 1971, the group has funded conservation work on thousands of artworks and established the Rosand Library & Study Center in Venice to support research in Venetian art, history, and conservation. Its conservation projects are selected by a board and a projects committee of experts, and are conducted in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Culture, with oversight to ensure responsible use of donations. The organization also offers fellowships, exhibitions, and publications to advance scholarship and conservation of Venetian art, engaging a network of restorers supervised by the Superintendency and Save Venice staff. In addition to its core preservation activities, Save Venice supports educational initiatives and maintains partnerships, such as a recent collaboration announced with Venezia FC.
