The Sacramento Zoo is a nonprofit zoological, museum, and historic site located in Sacramento, California. Open since 1927, it houses more than 140 native, rare, and endangered species. The zoo is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA), making it one of more than 200 institutions accredited by that organization. It is wholly managed by the Sacramento Zoological Society, a nonprofit organization, and its mission includes conservation awareness through education and recreation. The facility employs between 51 and 200 people and is located at 3930 West Land Park Drive, Sacramento, California 95822. In December 2025, Dan Simon was appointed Chief Executive Officer.
