The Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency is a government administration body based in Sacramento, California, focused on affordable housing and community redevelopment across the city and county. Its mission centers on revitalizing communities, expanding affordable housing, and serving as the Housing Authority for the City and County of Sacramento. SHRA pursues four primary priorities: developing, preserving and financing a continuum of affordable housing; maintaining agency-owned housing with tenant-based rental assistance; revitalizing lower-income neighborhoods; and promoting economic development through infrastructure and public facilities. The agency operates with a few hundred employees and manages about 3,000 affordable housing units and roughly 14,300 rental assistance vouchers each month. In February 2026, Kris Warren was named executive officer, marking a recent leadership update.
