The RIT Simone Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship is a unit within Rochester Institute of Technology dedicated to advancing innovation and entrepreneurship on campus. Established in 2007 as the Albert J. Simone Center, it supports experiential learning by helping students develop and realize their ideas through programs such as the Student Business Incubator and the Venture Creations Incubator. Named for Al Simone, a former RIT president, the center reflects his contributions to academics and local business. Its mission centers on promoting innovation and entrepreneurial learning across the RIT community by leveraging multidisciplinary and experiential education, with the aim of positioning the center as a national leader in this field. It serves students and student ventures within a higher education context, providing access to incubator resources and hands-on opportunities to test and advance ideas from concept toward realization.
