The Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business is the business school within Saint Louis University, a Jesuit, Catholic university based in St. Louis, Missouri. Founded in 1910, it is the oldest business school west of the Mississippi and among the 15 oldest in the United States. The school has held AACSB International accreditation since 1948, a distinction earned by fewer than five percent of business schools worldwide. Its student body comprises more than 1,700 undergraduates and graduates. It is named for SLU alumnus Dr. Richard A. Chaifetz, the founder, chairman and CEO of ComPsych Corporation. As part of Saint Louis University, the school operates as a mid-sized academic unit serving a regional market in St. Louis.
