Resounding Joy is a San Diego-based nonprofit in health and human services that provides music therapy grounded in clinical, evidence-based practice to support a broad range of social, cognitive, emotional, motor, physiological, physical, and mental health goals. Its team includes board-certified music therapists, trained musicians, and volunteers who deliver programs under clinical supervision, with a focus on accessibility across ages—from premature infants to those at end of life. The nonprofit operates four core programs: Sounds of Service for military, veterans, and first responders; Sounds of Healing for children and youth; Sounds of Legacy for older adults; and Sounds of Community for wellness across all ages. Founded in 2004 by Dr. Barbara Reuer, the organization is led by Executive Director and CEO Kerri Fox as of late 2023, and it expanded to Noblesville, Indiana in 2023.
