The Republic of Korea Army is the largest branch of the South Korean armed forces, serving as the core component of the country's national defense. It numbers roughly half a million personnel and is organized around the ROK Army Headquarters, three Field Army Commands, the Aviation Operations Command, and the Special Warfare Command, comprising 11 corps, 49 divisions, and 19 brigades.
