The Reed College Reactor Facility in Portland, Oregon, is a TRIGA Mark I reactor established in 1968 to support research and education in the region. It operates in a 25-foot-deep tank with fuel enriched to 20 percent U-235 and is surrounded by a graphite ring to minimize neutron leakage, allowing operation up to a license ceiling of 250 kW to provide a defined neutron flux for experiments.
