QuEra Computing Inc. is a Boston-based company in the Research Services industry that develops quantum computing technology. Founded in 2018 on research from Harvard and MIT, it builds neutral-atom quantum computers using a multi-zone architecture that enables reconfigurable qubit connectivity and room-temperature operation, with a scalable path to fault-tolerant quantum computing. Its systems are operational today, including a 260-qubit device delivered to Japan's AIST integrated with a supercomputer and the Aquila system available on Amazon Braket, with a Gemini gate-based system for enterprise and research applications. The company has 51-200 employees, is headquartered in Boston, and maintains operations in Japan and the United Kingdom, with partnerships spanning Amazon Web Services, Dell Technologies, NVIDIA, Deloitte, and others. Supported by about $230 million in funding, QuEra has released an open-source package to simulate logical quantum circuits at scale (2026) and has announced Libra, its first fault-tolerant quantum computer planned to arrive on Amazon Braket in 2028, along with collaborations such as with Los Alamos National Laboratory and Phasecraft.
