Project Hope for the Homeless is a Lake County, Ohio-based nonprofit in the Individual and Family Services sector that provides shelter and support to homeless men, women, and children. Established through a consortium of area churches and community leaders under the Ecumenical Shelter Network of Lake County, the organization operates an overnight emergency shelter that can house up to 50 people each night and includes a dedicated wing for families and children, as well as additional programs such as aftercare and an offsite senior care initiative at Hope House. The services aim to offer safe housing, basic needs, and guided support to help guests transition to more stable living arrangements, with more than a majority of guests moving to better situations after shelter residence. In addition to immediate shelter, the organization offers ongoing support through regular home visits, phone check-ins, monthly support groups, and in-kind assistance to those who participate in its aftercare program. Recent activity demonstrates ongoing community engagement and collaboration, including partnerships and events designed to raise awareness and support for homelessness solutions.
