Project Create is a small nonprofit in Washington, D.C., that supports youth development through arts education designed to be inclusive and multidisciplinary. By providing instruction led by experienced teaching artists and creating opportunities to showcase work publicly, the program aims to strengthen creative skills and confidence. In collaboration with social service organizations serving homeless families, the group works to reach children in DC neighborhoods facing the greatest need, reflecting a 27-year commitment that has touched over 15,000 youngsters. In 2020, the organization collaborated with the DC Office of the Attorney General to launch Artists v. Hate, Standing Up for Humanity, a youth art program and competition in the District.
