Polinas, established in 1982 as Turkey’s first BOPP film manufacturer, is a packaging and containers film producer based in Laleli, Manisa, Turkey, and is part of Yıldız Holding. It manufactures BOPP, BOPET, metallized, coated, holographic films and tear tapes. In 2011 it acquired Nuroll SpA in Italy, and added a 30,000-ton BOPET line in 2012 and a 47,000-ton BOPP line in 2015 to expand capacity. Current nameplate capacity totals 173,000 tons per year, with five BOPP lines in Manisa accounting for 115,000 tons and Nuroll and Manisa BOPET lines contributing 58,000 tons, placing Polinas among Europe’s top five producers. Since 2016, Polinas has operated a 14,000-ton-per-year kitchen solutions plant in Manisa producing SERA-branded products.
