PETROTECH is a Houston-based company that organizes the PETROTECH series, an international conference and exhibition focused on oil and gas. The events are held biennially and serve as a platform for national and international experts to exchange views and share knowledge and experiences in the sector. The series has been conducted for more than two decades, and the 2016 edition was its twelfth iteration, representing a leading event in India's hydrocarbon landscape.

PETROTECH-2016 took place in New Delhi from December 5 to 7, with the conference at Vigyan Bhavan and the exhibition at Pragati Maidan, illustrating the scale of the gathering. It drew participation from more than 600 exhibitors from over 50 countries, occupying more than 30,000 square meters of space and featuring 15 country pavilions, including showcases for Make in India and Renewable Energy. Leading oil and gas companies and a broad cross-section of sectors—such as information technology, research and development, petrochemicals, alternative energy, telecommunications and instrumentation, and environmental safety—engaged in the event, underscoring its international reach.
