Pelephone Communications Ltd is a pioneer in the Israeli telecommunication industry. The company was established in 1986 by Motorola and Tadiran. Since 2004 Pelephone became a wholly owned subsidiary company of “Bezeq”, Israel’s largest and most prominent telecommunication corporation. Currently (2019) the firm provides services to 2.3 million subscribers and employing 2,300 personnel, mostly working in client service and sales functions.

Pelephone was mentioned in the GSA report as one of the only 39 companies in the world able to activate Gigabit LTE download files, as a result of using the 3 most advanced network technologies: Mimo 4X4, QAM and 256 Carrier Aggregation. Pelephone has announced the launch of its 5G network. Called 'Pelephone Plus' the network will begin operating as soon as the company receives the appropriate frequencies. Bezeq unit Pelephone has already built a network of hundreds of sites in recent months that will become commercial as soon as the frequencies are allocated.
