Patrick Henry Community College is a comprehensive two-year institution serving the Martinsville region in Virginia. Located on a 137-acre campus about three miles north of the city, the college also operates several off-campus sites, including a PHCC Site in Stuart, the IDEA Center in Martinsville (featuring Fab Lab and Community Development), a Culinary Arts Lab in Martinsville, and the Racing College of Virginia in Henry County. The institution emphasizes student success, lifelong learning, and enrichment of the local quality of life, with programs that prepare students to transfer, build workplace skills, or pursue personal growth. The PHCC Foundation operates as a separate not-for-profit entity that raises private contributions and manages funds to support PHCC programs, recruit students, assist those in need, and enhance the overall quality of education. Scholarships are offered by the foundation based on donors' criteria and are available to all qualified PHCC students. In recent community collaboration, PHCC has engaged in partnerships with local organizations, including Martinsville City Public Schools to support students through Breakfast Buddies.
